Lakeside Memorial Park and Crematorium has been looking after Illawarra’s culturally and religiously diverse community since 1964 and the team are excited to unveil their latest memorial developments.
Lakeside caters for not only traditional burial and cremation services but continues to work closely with the community to align to their memorial needs.
The recently completed Crypts of the Divine Resurrection have been warmly welcomed and received by the Illawarra Italian community who may wish to choose entombment.
Currently until July 15, the team are offering the bronze memorial plaques free with every new crypt purchase.
This can equate to a significant financial saving for purchases as this is an important part of the crypt memorial package.
Granite headstone sections, bronze lawn plaque burial and family burial estates have been on offer for many years and a new style of garden edged burial section is currently on the plans to provide even more choice for loved ones.
Almost 70 per cent of the community are now choosing cremation as their preferred option and Lakeside has added to their range of cremation memorials.
“Our new Eternity granite niche wall and adjoining Eternity Garden positions and the tranquillity of the newly extended and popular Pool of Reflection water feature gardens are just stunning,” manager Julie Geraedts of Lakeside said.
“Recently, we have also added automatic gates to our entrances. This new inclusion allows us to provide even greater security for families, our beautiful grounds and loved one’s memorials contained within.”

The gates open at 5.30am each day and close at 8.30pm. The park is still available to foot traffic 24 hours a day seven days a week.
“For many years we have assisted the community with at need services guiding families through the sometimes overwhelming process when they lose a loved one,” Julie said.
“Our highly trained family service staff are also looking after the needs of the community when prearranging for the future.
“Prearrangement continues to grow in popularity as more and more people realise the benefit of prepaying at today’s cost and alleviating the stress both financially and emotionally for loved ones.”
Arranging your services directly with the cemetery, crematorium or funeral director of your choice ensures you have exactly what you want, immediately when you need it, without inflated costs.
“We would like to invite the public to visit the park at 230 Kanahooka Road in Dapto and courtesy tours of our facilities are available on request,” Julie added.
Office hours are 8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday and 9am-4pm on Saturdays.
