Last year, infrared cameras on the Illawarra Escarpment photographed the first koala seen in the region since the 1930s.
The National Parks Association of NSW (NPA)will hold a workshop on how to use an infrared camera to spot native and pest animals, as part of its survey titled Who’s Living on My Land?
“The Illawarrra Escarpment is home to some incredibly rare species, including Spotted-tailed Quolls, Long-nosed Potoroos and Pygmy Possums,” NPA project officer Margot Law said. “These species are well documented on public land, like national parks, but we would love to know if they are surviving and thriving on private land.”
The free workshop is on June 24 at the Robertson Community Centre for people who live in that area.
