In 2016, more than 10,000 people visited local vineyards in the Gerringong and Shoalhaven area and organisers are confident that record will be smashed this weekend.
Hundreds have pre-booked tours with Illawarra businesses such as Foodscape Tours, Specialty Tours and Travel and Kenny Escapes and Stuart’s Coaches providing an official hop-on hop-off bus service that will take in Crooked River Wines and Roselea Vineyard for the first time this year.
Nicole Mallos, of NVS Events, said thousands of people from Wollongong, Shellharbour and Sydney were expected to take a train to Berry and then book a hop-on hop-off bus.
“You can even buy bus tickets on the day..on 4421 0332,” she said.
