A crash on Picton Rd on Friday night has left a man seriously injured after he became trapped between two vehicles while trying to help another motorist.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 10pm and Police are calling for witnesses to come forward after initial inquiries suggest a 25-year-old man stopped to assist the driver of a Holden Commodore, when a Hyundai Elantra appeared.
The accident resulted in the man becoming trapped between the Commodore and his own Isuzu Dmax. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious injuries to his legs before he was transferred to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 27-year-old man, was transported to Wollongong Hospital where he underwent mandatory testing.
