Bevo to head up tour in China

Illawarra coach Rob Beveridge will take charge of an NBL All Australian Team, which features two Hawks players, and tours China next month.

The NBL announced Mitch Norton and Nick Kay as members of an elite 11-man squad that will play three games against Chinese opposition in earlier July.

Kay and Norton’s selection comes after both were rewarded for strong recent performances with spots on a 20-man Boomers squad for the upcoming FIBA Asian Cup. The All Australian Team will first play in in Beijing on July 5 before playing a further two matches in Guangdong (July 7) and Jilin (July 9). All three matches will be live on Fox Sports.
