Southern. IML Pathology is a local organisation established 30 years ago to provide a pathology service for the Illawarra and Shoalhaven community and is based in both of these locations.
With close ties and association with the University of Wollongong and TAFE, they have worked closely with these organisations to ensure that pathology baseline training in the Illawarra is of an excellent standard.
The organisation sees training as a critical element for its ongoing success, ability to provide quality service and evolve as a business.
As a training organisation, the goal is for students and staff to emerge capable of competing in the national employment market.
Southern. IML Pathology’s trainers, mentors and scientific staff are all qualified and experts in their fields. The students learn in a simulated collection centre and then spend time in the laboratory and work placement experience in busy collection centres giving them a practical boost towards their career.
