The 28-year-old woman’s helmet was smashed in the fall, which occurred on a rural property about 3.45pm Saturday.
She lost consciousness for a period before NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived, and later suffered a short seizure.
Fairfax understands the woman was thrown when the horse, measuring about 15 hands high, bolted.
