A young builder who secretly filmed a naked teenage girl at a house in Albion Park in March had already violated the privacy of two other women in his home town of Cootamundra, a court has heard.

Wayd Millar, who was named the Cootmaundra Young Citizen of the Year in 2012 and is heavily involved in several of the town’s sporting teams, admitted in May to recording the Illawarra woman in various states of undress while staying at her house on March 7.
During court proceedings for that matter, Millar’s lawyer revealed his client was facing fresh charges after a series of videos of two other women were found on his mobile phone.
Millar was subsequently charged with six further counts of filming a person in a private act without consent, to which he pleaded guilty in Wollongong court last Friday.
Court documents outlining the fresh offences reveal Millar recorded the women, aged in their 20s, on three different occasions over a six-day period in January.
On each occasion he hid outside an open bathroom window and waited for the women to come into the bathroom before activating the video on his phone.
He recorded the victims getting in and out of the shower, toweling off, brushing their teeth and sitting on the toilet.
The videos lasted between 34 seconds and one-and-a-half minutes.
The women were at all times unaware they were being filmed, police said.
Millar remains on bail and will face court again on August 18 for sentencing on both matters.
On Friday, his lawyer said short evidence will be called on Millar’s behalf during sentencing proceedings.
