The ute flipped and came to rest on its side after colliding with a Premier Illawarra bus on Lake Entrance Road, about 1.10pm Wednesday.
Two people inside the ute – a man and a woman believed aged 25-30 – were transported by ambulance to Wollongong Hospital. They suffered relatively minor injures including cuts and abrasions.
The eastbound bus was dropping off passengers near Landy Drive and had come to a stop when the ute clipped its rear-side, lost control and overturned.
Five passengers aboard the bus were checked by paramedics but did not require treatment.
Two of three eastbound lanes are closed as the clean-up continues, causing minor delays.
Westbound traffic is moving.
More to come.
