Circus WOW is organising a Kate Bush inspired flash mob in the Crown Street Mall on July 15, simultaneously with thousands of others around Australia and the world.
Participants should ideally wear a red dress, copy the moves of Bush in her music video for “Wuthering Heights” and turn up at midday on the day.
“It’s not about people who can do the most amazing leaps like Kate does on video. Any body, any shape or level of fitness can do what they can with what they’ve got,” said spokeswoman Fiona McKay
“If there’s 20 people there great, if there’s 200 people there amazing ... for us it’s something that gives Circus WOW a connection with the community.”
Labelled The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever, dance mobs have been swaying to the UK singer’s shrill voice since 2013 when 300 British impersonators transformed a Sussex park into a video clip.
Ms McKay said bearded men and bubs in prams are also welcome to join in – even if they haven’t got the moves down pat.
