The show, created by choreographer Shaun Parker, is a fusion of physical theatre, film and dance – dealing with the concept of love.
“I was inspired by how romantic love runs rampant through all art forms, both popular and high-art, and provides such juicy thematic fodder for artists and audiences alike,” Parker said.
“It’s a topic that everyone knows only too well.”
Characters Glenn and Rhonda Flune think they are the perfect couple and play out in their relationship with reference to film, dance, text and song.
The show was adapted from a short film of the same name which screened the world over.
Blue Love plays at IPAC, July 19 to 22. www.merrigong.com.au
