But some Shellharbour players are more interested in meeting Western Sydney stars such as Brendan Santalab when the Wanderers take on the Gunners at ANZ Stadium.
They will get the opportunity to do both after Shellharbour won the right to take on the mighty Gunnersaurus Rex in a half-time penalty shoot-out.
Shellharbour was one of only two clubs from 1546 entries to win the Football NSW competition, which will see nine of its players take part in the penalty shootout against the famous dinosaur as well as have their names, team name and club shown on the big screen during the match.
The players will also be given Arsenal tour shirts and tickets to watch the game.
‘’The boys have been practicing their penalty kicks as well as their celebrations when they score,’’ team co-coach Jorge Perez said.
‘’They really can’t wait. Arsenal is a big club and the boys are keen to meet some of their heroes.’’
Harley Bermudez though is more keen to meet players from his favourite A-League team, the Wanderers.
His father and co-coach Johnny Bermudez is responsible for winning the competition for his undefeated team.
‘’To win I needed to answer in 25 words or less why our team should go up against Gunnerssaurus Rex. I wrote ‘because my boys will smash it into the back of the net every time’,’’ he said.
