Five Football South Coast clubs in State Cup finals

The Hawks Division 2 Youth League Men are the clubs best-performing team in Waratah League with second spot in the line in Saturday’s clash against Sydney Comets at the Snakepit.

  The Hawks are on a 10 game winning streak and along with Comets have a 14-3 record with only two more games each before the playoffs. The Youth League Men are the only Hawks team at home on Saturday with the other four Waratah League teams facing Hornsby-Ku-ring-gai at the Brickpit.

 The Hawks Championship Men will almost certainly finish ninth and are coming off a 92-70 home loss to leaders Sydney Comets. 

 Alex Beagley (6-12 shooting) had 15 points, while Tyson Demos returned to the line-up and had eight pints, plus led the boards with seven with Illawarra out-rebounded 48-33.

The Hawks Championship Women and Div 1 Men are out of playoff contention, but the Youth League Women are fourth (11-7) and face the 7th-placed Spiders.
