The Foxes need to win just once in the final four rounds to secure the title.
They are 12 points clear at the top of the Illawarra’s second tier and have lost just once this season to Balgownie Rangers.
“Since we lost that one game it has been very much like ‘hey the job is not done lads’,” McGoldrick said.
“We have to keep going and keep persevering.
“Over the last eight won eight games, scored 20 and conceded three.”
McGoldrick confirmed that Fernhill are keen to return to the Illlawarra Premier League if they secure top spot.
Thirroul are the only team which could realistically run down the Foxes.
The Thunder are 12 points off the pace, but have a game up their sleeve to close the gap.
However, Fernhill have a far superior goal difference.
