Police are appealing for information after three children were approached by a man near a Port Kembla school on Wednesday.

Police have been told a man driving a dark brown or maroon 4WD stopped outside a primary school on Gloucester Boulevard about 10.30am.
He beckoned three nine-year-old girls to leave the school premises and come towards his car.
The man drove off before returning a short time later and motioning for the girls to again come closer to his car.
The children reported the incidents to their parents after school.
The man has been described as having a thin face and a dark beard. His car was further described as having a bull bar and a spare tyre cover with “4 x 4” printed in white letters.
