Police have been told three boys, armed with knives, entered a service station on Winnima Way just before 1am.
The trio allegedly threatened the employee before one of the boys struck them with the butt of a knife.
The boys left the store with cash and cigarettes.
Following investigations, three boys – aged 13, 14 and 14 – were arrested at a home on Northcliffe Drive and taken to Lake Illawarra police station.
They have all been charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon.
All three will appear before a children’s court on Friday.
