The littermates will run in separate heats of the Crownbet Dapto Maiden Series (520m) in their first visits to the races.
“I thought I had a couple more weeks up my sleeve but they have been trialling well at Bulli,” Bertinato, who is based at Dapto, said.
“They haven’t had much experience going around Dapto at the 520m.
“I will be just happy if they work their way through the heats to the semis and if I am lucky enough to get in the final, they should be fit enough for it then.
“They are coming along pretty good.”
Takahi Storm (box eight) will run in the opening heat of the night and has won a pair of trials at Bulli before his debut.
Takahi Party is in box seven and will contest the fifth of six heats on the night.
Bertinato accepted the wide draw for both runners was a concern.
“They can handle the tight behind but I am not happy they drew the outside because they are all mad, crash straight to the rails,” Bertinato said.
“The ones on the inside might have a bit of trouble.
“They can get out of the box, but the last 20 yards I am worried about. The fitness might not be where I want it to be.
“You do have to be in it to win it though.”
Both runners are by Kinloch Brae and out of Bertinato’s former race bitch Moonshine Party, with littermate Takahi Legend set to make his debut at Bulli on Saturday.
“They are all big dogs in this litter,” Bertinato said.
“The smallest is 35kgs but they are all big dogs.
“They are the second litter of Moonshine Party.
“Takahi means Moonshine in Mauri.
“I had the name Moonshine for 10 years and then someone decided they liked the name and bought it outright.
“I asked a bloke to look up what a good name is for Moonshine and he said Takahi. I’ve stuck with it.”
Race one jumps at 7.16pm on Thursday.
Bulli have a 10-race card on Saturday, with Nowra taking place next Monday.
