Large and powerful surf conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, boating, and swimming from Friday afternoon.
A gale warning has also been issued for Illawarra coastal waters on Friday.
The hazardous surf conditions will continue on Saturday and Sunday, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
Meanwhile, windy conditions will linger in Wollongong on Friday and Saturday.
Friday should deliver a maximum of 17 degrees in the city, with westerly winds of 35 to 50km/h.
On Saturday, westerly winds of 25 to 35km/h will turn south to southwesterly 35 to 50km/h during the morning, dropping the temperature to just 15 degrees.
