The Foxes can officially call themselves champions of the second tier after receiving the District League winners trophy following their 1-1 draw with Balgownie Rangers at Ray Robinson Field on the weekend.
“It was a good day,” Fernhill Foxes coach Dan McGoldrick said.
“They held it off because we had a few people from the club who have been around a while that were away. We wanted them to see it.
“The only thing that put a dampener on the day was that it was blowing a gale but the boys celebrated deep until the early hours later that night.”
Fernhill remain 10 points clear of Warilla Wanderers at the top of the competition heading into a final round match against Coniston at Ray Robinson Field.
In a superb feat, the club have also wrapped up the reserve grade title and are second in youth grade to lead the competition’s Club Championship.
