Park will play their final game against Fairy Meadow this Sunday but the result will have no relevance as they have gained 49 points to University's 41 points.
Students' captain Heath Ogilvie was reasonably happy with the result and still confident going into the finals and happy for the Park to head in as favourites.
It was University who had the upper hand in the first half taking a 2-1 lead with goals from Cameron Dean and Denzel Bambridge with Brady Anderson scoring the Park goal.
After this, the home team bounced back with former Kookaburra Kieran Govers scoring two goals and one from Zac Nyrhinen for a final score of 4-2.
In the other game, Robertson held Meadow to a 2-2 draw with Damian Gair and Hamish Coupland scoring for Robertson and Robert Fisher and Daine Richards replying for the Falcons.
In the women's league, Wests Illawarra beat Albion Park 2-1 taking them to the top with 56 points to the Park's 55 points. Melissa Eastwood and Piki McCreedy scored for the Devils with Tracy Smith replying for the Park.
Wests play Avondale on Saturday, while Albion Park meet FigDerra at Croome Hockey Centre.
In the men’s final round, University take on third-placed Wests, while Albion Park can celebrate their minor premiership win if they overcome Fairy Meadow.
Robertson have the bye.
