About 3000 student patrons from schools all over the Illawarra, South Coast and Sydney will be at WIN Entertainment Centre to watch about 3000 of their student peers perform in the first show on Friday morning.
But it will be on Friday evening when the talented student performers finally get the opportunity to perform in front of the general public for the first time.
And featured vocalist Mackenzie Garcia for one, can’t wait to hit the WEC stage.
‘’People can expect lots of fun, bright colours and amazing music,’’ the 17-year-old said.
‘’It is going to be an amazing show. You will go through an emotional roller-coaster ride throughout the show.’’
The Wollongong High School of Performing Arts student is performing in her fifth and final Southern Stars extravaganza.
Mackenzie is performing six show items including Can’t Stop the Feeling, Try Everything, Nutbush, If the World Only Knew and Here I Am, as well as the big finale with the whole cast.
And for a second straight year the Shell Cove teenager will get the opportunity to perform with her 12-year-old brother Emerson Garcia, who is also a featured vocalist
‘’It's amazing. It is so good to be on stage with my brother. Getting to share the stage with him is just amazing,’’ Mackenzie said.
Four shows of Postcards will take place at WEC on August 25 (10am and 7.30pm) and August 26 (2pm and 7.30pm). Tickets, which are available from Ticketmaster outlets, are selling fast.
