At the age of nine, a young Joe Mungovan would never have imagined that begging his parents for a drum kit for Christmas would pave his way to becoming a musician. Now, the Kiama native has released his latest track Steppin Outta Line which was recorded with the help of producer Tim Carr (Matt Corby, Urthboy).

Steppin Outta Line gives us a taste of the introspective indie folk music that will create his EP to be released later in the year and is also accompanied by a lively music video directed and edited by Estrallas.
After crashing his skateboard at the age of 13, leaving him unable to play his drum kit and in a wheelchair for four months, Mungovan taught himself guitar and unconsciously developed a unique style that blends indie folk and pop together.
Having previously shared the stage with acts such as The Preatures, Cosmo Jarvis (US), Ian Moss (Cold Chisel), Lime Cordiale and Winterbourne, you can see Joe Mungovan live when he hits the road on a co-headline tour with Greta Stanley this September/October.
Joe will be performing at Anita’s Theatre Thirroul on Friday, September 22. For tickets visit joemungovan.com/tour.
