Sir Elton John is one of the world’s top-selling solo artists of all time, selling more than 300 million records worldwide in his 50-year career – so what is he going to sing in Wollongong?
More than 20,000 fans will pack WIN Stadium for a twilight Once In A Lifetime concert on September 24, for a show lasting hours.
Sir Elton boasts 30 solo studio albums alone – this does not include the appearances on soundtracks, scores or theatre albums nor the collaboration albums he’s also done.
“Tiny Dancer” was the top favourite in an Illawarra Mercury Facebook poll with 33 per cent of votes.
The second most requested song by readers was “Bennie and the Jets” with 20 per cent of votes, followed by “I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues” with 16 per cent.
Based on recent concerts by the international mega star, here are songs likely to be on his set list.
