More than 20,000 fans will pack WIN Stadium for a twilight Once In A Lifetime concert on September 24, for a show lasting hours.
Sir Elton boasts 30 solo studio albums alone – this does not include the appearances on soundtracks, scores or theatre albums nor the collaboration albums he’s also done.
“Tiny Dancer” was the top favourite in an Illawarra Mercury Facebook poll with 33 per cent of votes.
The second most requested song by readers was “Bennie and the Jets” with 20 per cent of votes, followed by “I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues” with 16 per cent.
Based on recent concerts by the international mega star, here are songs likely to be on his set list.

On June 27 the star opened a show at Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany with “The Bitch Is Back”, “Bennie and the Jets” and “ Guess That’s Why They Call It the Blue”, according to www.setlist.fm.
He reportedly played 21 songs that evening, ending the set with “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting” before coming back for an encore with “Candle In The Wind”.
While “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me” was in tribute to the late George Michael who passed away in December of 2016.
The same website reports a similar set list for a concert on July 18 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.
There, Sir Elton opened with the same three songs and ended with “Candle In the Wind” – though not as an encore.
