The Taste Orange food and wine festival scheduled for Wollongong’s Lang Park has been cancelled.
The event, promoted as part of the Wollongong Fringe Festival, was set for Sunday September 24 – the same day as Elton John’s one-off concert.
Destination Wollongong’s general manager Mark Sleigh said there were some complications with liquor licencing which led to the food and wine festival to be axed from the extensive Wollongong Fringe program.
Meanwhile Hackagong, a 24-hour event for people to play and create with technology, has also been pulled from the program.
This event was scheduled to run from September 22 to 24 at the University of Wollongong’s Innovation Campus.
