Symbio marketing manager Kevin Fallon said.the family was attracting plenty of attention from countless visitors to the family run Helensburgh zoo. “They are extremely cute and adorable. They are like little fluff balls at the moment. They are probably our most interactive monkey species.”
Mr Fallon said the biggest population explosion had occurred among some of the native animals. He said seven Kangaroo and Wallaby joeys were born over winter and they were all now starting to pop their heads out for spring. But they are getting some competition from the new Symbio Farmyard exhibit has seen the goat population grow following the arrival of six new kids.
“Mid-week we are giving people the opportunity at certain times to have the chance of bottle feeding the babies,” Mr Fallon said.
But the baby boom does not stop there. Next week there is likely to be an announcement about new infants to a rarer species.
Mr Fallon said the Junior Keeper program for the September school holidays was being launched on Thursday.
