Residents of Burrell Crescent heard the shots shortly before 2.20am.
“It was four bangs,” one resident told the Mercury.
“The last one wasn't quite as loud as the first three.
“I thought it was crackers or something. I didn't think it was a rifle. A rifle is a little bit crackle. This didn't crackle.”

Police later attended and found “a number of projectile fragments”, according to a statement by NSW Police.
No one was injured.
One resident described the street as quiet and said the shooting came as a surprise.
“There’s no noisy parties or anything,” he said.
Another resident was less surprised. “A lot of cars, fancy cars, come down this street,” she said.
