This was Wests' first title since 1995 and again a personal triumph for coach Wes Johnson who was still then the coach and this year playing his two daughters Chloe Johnson and goalkeeper Teagan Johnson.
It was Wests who went ahead inside ten minutes of the game when former Kiwi international Piki McCreedy scored from their first penalty corner and Melissa Eastwood adding the second goal fifteen minutes later.
Park applied the pressure in the last ten minutes of the first half reducing the deficit when an unmarked and former national indoor player Karen Seaman scored between the posts.
Wests made sure of victory in the second half when McCreedy scored her second goal pounding the ball from the top of the circle with brilliant class for a final score of 3-1.
