Emergency services responded to reports of a crash involving multiple vehicles on Nolan Street, near Investigator Drive, about 9.10am.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said a 38-year-old woman was trapped in one of the vehicles.
The woman, who was understood to have been experiencing back pain, was released and assessed by paramedics.
She was taken to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.
Police and Fire and Rescue NSW crews also responded to the nose-to-tail crash, which involved a van, a car and a ute.
No further details about the woman’s injuries were available, the spokesman said.
The Unanderra accident happened about 20 minutes after a crash involving a motorcycle and a ute on the M1 Princes Motorway at Figtree.
