The pair started their charity bike ride from Perth to Shellharbour on September 3 in an effort to raise funds for Camp Quality.
They expect to complete the 4000 kilometre journey by October 4.
When they arrive Kelly Mcilquham and fellow school parents, staff and students will be on hand to welcome them home.
‘’Mr Mac tried to keep this trip quiet but when I heard he was coming back to town with just his wife, son and daughter meeting him, I decided to organise a welcome home fundraiser for our amazing principle,’’ Mrs Mcilquham said.
‘’There are two girls from our school currently receiving chemo, one in remission and one no longer in treatment. His efforts to raise funds for Camp Quality needs to be applauded.’’
The welcome home celebration is slated to be held at 2pm on Wednesday, October 4 at Shellharbour Public School.
There will be a gold coin donation sausage sizzle, face painting, hair spraying and tattoos.
All proceeds on the day will go to Camp Quality.
