Mental health costs Australian businesses $11 billion a year. The Illawarra business community recognises it as an important issue and is holding a special luncheon at Centro CBD on October 23 to raise awareness and learn about the effects of mental health in the workplace. The Illawarra Business Chamber Mental Health in the Workplace Corportate Luncheon will also raise funds for Highlights on Mental Health to help keep the doors open at the Light and Hope Clubhouse and support Illawarra teenagers caring for siblings with mental illness.  Speakers include Rose Tattoo’s Angry Anderson on it is okay to talk about mental health. He will share his personal experience with depression, what turned him around and, why he encourages people to talk about mental health in the open. Other speakers included UOW senior lecturer Dr Kelly Newell and CommuniCorp Group managing director David Burroughs.
