Spring has sprung and as this spectacular time of year blossoms it also brings with it an abundance of fresh produce.
This is why quality dining establishments are busy updating their menu to take full advantage of the seasonal ingredients and to offer diners vibrant meals that complement the warmer weather.
CEO of Wollongong Tennis Club, Christopher Watson said they have recently launched their spring/summer menu at Bistro Thirty Seven which includes dishes like the King G platter to share consisting of garlic olives, tomatoes brush, grilled chorizo, Greek chicken, squid, haloumi, pork belly, baby octopus, chips and salad.
“Our spring/summer menu takes full advantage of seasonal vegetables and local produce,” he said. “We offer seasonal meals mixed with club favourites that are tried and tested to impress, such as the Panko Chicken Schnitzel served with heaps of options. It is exceptional value and by far our most loved meal.”
There is something to suit every diner; the restaurant offers a semi-formal setting overlooking the tennis courts while the bistro gives you a more casual experience where you can order light meals and watch live sport on the big screen.
The club is kid-friendly and large groups can be catered for including functions and events.
Andrej is the head chef at Bistro Thirty Seven and has over 10 years experience in top class eateries such as the Harbour Front and Panizzi plus he was later an owner/operator of a restaurant in Wollongong for two years.
“Andrej has shaped our new spring/summer menu bringing some enticing new tastes along with the club favourites,” Mr Watson said. “We have great quality meals served at club prices.”

It is the perfect time to visit Wollongong Tennis Club as it has just undergone a full renovation, bringing a brand-new look and atmosphere to the club.
“We’ve recently revamped the club to modernise the decor and to continue to deliver a family-friendly environment for members and their guests,” Mr Watson said.
Wollongong Tennis Club has been in operation since 1959 and is highly renowned as having the best tennis facilities in the Illawarra.
“A lot of people assume we are tennis courts only and don’t know we have a restaurant. We want people to know as our slogan says ‘There is more to the Tennis Club than just tennis!’,” Mr Watson said.
To celebrate the new renovation, the Tennis Club is inviting you to come and see it for yourself. Next Thursday September 28 from 6pm they’re offering free food, wine and beer tasting, coupled with live music, giveaways, raffles, a colouring-in competition for kids with heaps of prizes and more. Non-members are welcome.
