There is a great social aspect to the Club, which includes weekends away, monthly competitions with free barbecue and any other excuse for a get together.
The fishing club is open to all ages for membership and allows members to win prizes at the monthly Goblet weekend.
The results for September Goblet, held on September 15-17 are as follows:
September is "Mystery Month" where the highest scoring points fish (that is not normally a goblet fish) wins.
The extremely blustery weather, which brought biting winds, deterred many and made for challenging fishing, resulting in only eight anglers being able to measuring in; consisting of three ladies, five men and no juniors.
There were 41 fish caught in all and the point scoring fish for the weekend was a Morwong (116.00 points) and measuring 51.5 cm was caught by newcomer David Backhouse.
