Saturday marks one month until regional airline JetGo launches passenger flights to Brisbane and Melbourne (Essendon Airport).
The Mercury revealed on Friday that JetGo had altered its schedule after taking on board extensive community feedback.
Changes to the Melbourne flight timetable will see planes depart Wollongong earlier and return later, allowing for longer stays in the Victorian capital.
JetGo’s managing director Paul Bredereck said passengers who had already paid for fares would be advised “well in advance” of the time changes.
“Considering many have requested the schedule changes we are hoping not too many will be inconvenienced,” Mr Bredereck said.
“For those that the time change does not suit, their ticket will be refundable or transferable.”
