Hayden from Compleat Angler at Windang said the lake area has been buzzing with heaps of visitors enjoying the arrival of some excellent spring weather.

The lake has had some nice bream taken around the bridge pylons during the evenings and were suckers for peeled prawns that were fished with very little or no lead.
Some guys have success with drifting run in tide along the channel from Bevans Island out into the lake proper and over the drop off, with flatties on whitebait and bream on prawns but some of the bream are dead set babies.
Whiting have increased their numbers anywhere along the sand flats on the eastern side of the bridge and guys that have been able to catch their own beach worms have been having a ball.
There is a product on the market of artificial worms that are soaked in brine and even the stalwarts concede these ‘fakes’ do work at times.
A few crabs have been pulled and were said to be quite meaty.
