When we raid eBay and the city’s fancy dress stores for German-themed apparel for the annual Oktoberfest celebrations.

Punters decked out in short pants, braces, lederhosen and beer-maid outfits are again set to descend on the Wollongong German Club at Kembla Grange over three days from October 20 to 22. 

Entertainment in the big tent starts on Friday and continues over the weekend with dance groups and competitions. Sunday’s family day will include rides, a face painter and a balloon animal blower. You can pre-purchase tickets here.
