The woman, believed to be aged in her 60s, was travelling in a silver Suzuki Swift when it collided with a blue Toyota Yaris in the northbound lanes near NorthCliffe Drive, about 11.30am Tuesday.
The Suzuki rolled multiple times before coming to rest on its side.
One northbound lane was closed but has since reopened.
Driver of the Toyota Yaris, Steven Ryan, said he believed he was in the woman’s blind spot.
“She didn’t see me when she’s gone to pull out. I honked the horn to let her know I was there,” Mr Ryan said.
“She’s pulled back into her lane, over-corrected and literally sent her car sideways.”
A tow truck removed the car.
The woman has been transported to Wollongong Hospital.
