The Kings conceded a round-high 105 points against Adelaide on Saturday despite giving up just three three- pointers.
Gaze started with the undersized front court pairing of Perry Ellis and Todd Blanchfield but admitted he should’ve given more burn to rookies Isaac Humphries, Dane Pineau and Indian captain Amritpal Singh.
‘‘Isaac’s a young man, only 19 years of age, who’s going to be a superstar in our league but still got a lot to learn and he’s going through that process,’’ Gaze said.
‘‘Dane’s another one that in hindsight I should’ve played him a little bit more in the second half. He’s one of our better defending bigs.
“In hindsight we erred in the judgements we made in that area. The other one is Singhy, who’s been outstanding at practice. He could’ve got us a few more minutes as well.”
