A woman is in hospital after being freed from the wreckage of a car involved in an accident on Rawson Street in Wollongong on Wednesday.
The elderly driver’s silver hatchback was caught up in a three-vehicle smash outside Orana House around 12:30pm which left her trapped.
It took emergency services just under an hour to free the woman who was thought to have suffered a broken wrist and she was transported by road to hospital.
A witness told the Illawarra Mercury a silver car with P-Plates was travelling west when it somehow spun around and hit a maroon four-wheel-drive.
However he was unsure which care t-boned third car and trapping it’s driver.
Firefighters, ambulance and police officers were at the scene.
