Greyhound Rescue (GR) NSW volunteer Ausilia Cristiano said dog lovers can find out information about fostering and adoption, grab “greyt” merchandise and buy the new children’s picture book Pointy Pembleton with funds raised helping re-home furry friends.
Other organisations involved are Wollongong Animal Rescue Network, Sydney Dog's & Cat's Home, Deaf Dog Rescue & Best Friends Fur Ever Rescue - with rescue dogs waiting to be cuddled & adopted!
Some of the hounds are friendly towards cats and small dogs, while all are low maintenance and without hip problems.
"They need only a 20 minute walk each day, unlike most other dogs. They have no doggie smell, shed little hair and seldom bark, being quiet and calm in nature,” GR founder Janet Flann said.
