Blue World Order was written and directed by Che Baker, the brother of Brett Baker who co-owns the Revolution Laser Arena among other entertainment ventures under the Funscape umbrella with Colin Bloomfield.
The privately financed movie is the first full-length feature for the film-maker who began his career working on Dawson’s Creek and hopes this gets the ball rolling for more.
“I think it’s the only film … to ever have a fleet of Deloreons. Everyone thinks it’s [computer generated imagery] but I got all the working Deloreons in the country, basically, in the one spot at one time,” the director told the Illawarra Mercury.
“It’s a good family sci-fi with two swear words.”
The movie also stars Home and Away bad-boy Jake Ryan and Australian acting legend Jack Thompson in a world where a “bio-tech virus” is destroying all of humankind.

The Baker boys have had a deep love for sci-fi since children while they also used to dabble in video-making creating “ninja movies”.
“Brett would always hit me a lot harder than in rehearsal, and through my tears he would console me by saying ‘oh, but it looked really good in the shot’,” Che said.
Brett added his sibling’s revenge finally came with this film as he was roped in to be a stunt double and flipped over “way too many times”.
He also features in the movie as a kilted thug.
Meanwhile the story used for the Revolution Laser Arena closely based on Blue World Order with the idea for people to totally immerse themselves into the science fiction world.
A Deloreon will feature at the Wollongong premier along with a Q&A session with the director. Each ticket purchased to the movie premier also receives entry to the laser tag after party at Revolution Laser Arena.
Blue World Order screens at Event Cinemas, Burelli Street in Wollongong, Friday November 24 at 7pm. Tickets are $20 via: www.bwomovie.com
