Illawarra juniors to contest NSW Open Junior Pro-Am with seasoned professionals

Six of the Illawarra’s finest junior golfers are preparing to tee off alongside the state’s best players at the NSW Open Junior Pro-Am. 

The six boys, Andrew Brown of Wollongong GC, Isaac Brown of Port Kembla, Bradley Wills of The Links Shell Cove, Austin Mitchell of the Grange, Wil Daibarra of Kiama and Maddinson Cooper of Shoalhaven Heads will take to the course at Twin Creeks Golf and Country Club on November 15 prior to the commencement of the NSW Open the following day.

The juniors, who range in age from 11 to 16, will be split into teams of four, with each team to feature a professional who will compete in the NSW Open.

The announcement comes as the Golf Illawarra Open Series kicks into high gear for the region’s juniors. Gerringong Golf Club will play host to the Gerringong Junior Open on Sunday before the Links Shell Cove Junior Open and Kiama Junior Masters take place next weekend.
