Overtraining can be very detrimental to your body. It happens as a result of training too many times without letting your body recover over an extended period of time. There are many signs you are overtraining. They include:

You pull up sore after nearly every session;

Your joints are continually sore and take a while to warm up;

You feel tired always before training;

You loathe training and do not look forward to the session;

Your progress and performance benchmarks decrease in training. Markers such as speed, strength and fitness either plateau or even decrease.

Be sure you have a rest week from training every 5-6 weeks where you reduce intensity, and ensure you are doing remedial work such as stretching and massage to reduce the effects from overtraining.
