Ms Perry takes over the role from Tony Green and said she was excited by and thanked the i3net board for the opportunity.
Her first week in the role saw her planning a board meeting for the following week, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for December and a breakfast in early 2018.
One of the first chances for i3net members to meet Ms Perry will be an event hosted by the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science Entrepreneur's Program in collaboration with METS Ignited.
The free Digital Disruption Masterclass is being held at the University of Wollongong Innovation Campus on November 9 form 8:15 am to 3:30 pm.
Ms Perry said disruptive technologies are creating new opportunities for business at an unprecedented rate. Evidence shows that companies with strategies to adopt to digital disruptions in their industry have the potential to win more business and increase their profits.
METS Ignited is hosting a masterclass to assist companies in understanding the landscape of data and digital disruption in mining, identify company opportunities and risks and develop an action plan for change.
Ms Perry will also contact members in coming weeks to arrange visits to their workplaces so she knows more about their products and services.
