When Moginie took a nasty tumble on stage cutting the show short it cast doubts on whether the band would go ahead with shows set for the immediate future – Wollongong was one of them.
The legendary rock group confirmed to fans via Facebook late Thursday that the scheduled performance at The Domain in Sydney on November 11 would “proceed as planned” and with the much loved Moginie.

“MRI tests today revealed that [Jim’s] ... hamstring tendon is completely detached from the bone. As such he will need to remain seated throughout the show instead of standing for his guitar songs as would otherwise have been the case,” they posted.
While the Facebook post made no mention of Monday’s sold out performance at WIN Entertainment Centre, it’s assumed a chair (or throne) will be waiting on the stage for Moginie.
Fans have been turning to social media to offer their support and encouragement for the group. Many offered condolences or solutions to the problem – such as sitting on a stool, “strapping it up” or asking Dave Grohl for the throne he used when he broke his leg on tour with the Foo Fighters in 2015.
