Benedict products are used everywhere – from major NSW infrastructure projects to household gardens.

  • In the past five years alone, Benedict Recycling has recycled more than three million tonnes of waste, successfully diverting more than 80 per cent of waste received from landfill
  • 80,000 tonnes of soil is recycled p.a. – enough to top-dress 180 sports fields
  • 70,000 cubic metres of timber is recycled to create an enviro-friendly mulch
  • 100,000 tonnes of brick and concrete is recycled per year and processed into recycled aggregates and sand for the building, landscape and construction industries

As a recycling facility, apart from putrescible waste (food scraps, nappies etc), Benedict accepts all types of household and commercial waste, however the company is not licensed to handle asbestos and any flammable, toxic or hazardous waste.

Benedict currently has facilities in Wollongong, Sydney and Newcastle and plans to expand operations with three more locations in 2018.

As part of National Recycling Week from November 13-19, Benedict Recycling is hosting a “Go Green Day”. Next Friday November 17, Wollongong’s residents are invited to tip their green waste at their facility in Five Islands Rd in Unanderra for free! Box trailer and car loads only – no stumps!
