It comes after the Hawks (4-5) made it three straight wins on Saturday night with a sensational 96-87 victory over Adelaide 36ers on Saturday night. Illawarra trailed by double digits on the road before fighting back to secure another gutsy win, much to the delight of coach Rob Beveridge.
"I am so proud of these guys," he said.
"There has been an enormous amount of negative vibes with the group and it does get you down a litttle bit.
"We had a meeting a couple of weeks ago and we spoke about looking in the mirror and having a good hard look at ourselves. That's myself included.
"We got touched up by Perth pretty bad a couple of times and if we want to compete in the league, we have to become better as individuals and a team.
“For us to get three wins on the road is massive."
