The swimmers, ranging in age from five years old up to 17 years old, travelled from as far south as Narooma, with the standard of swimming on display impressing many at the event.
“All of the children had a great time and the standard of swimming was extremely high.” Belinda Down from Corrimal Swim Club said.
There were a number of standout performers, with Zara Sharman winning five gold medals and Tilly Fikkers finishing the day with four.
The carnival was also the first opportunity for many swimmers to use the new Corrimal swimming blocks and Down said the feedback was extremely positive.
“The new blocks and backstroke ledges were installed a few weeks ago and they were a huge success.
“We received positive feedback from all the swimmers and many were impressed by the Olympic-standard of the new facilities.”
