Illawarra's junior golfers turn out for Kiama Shell Cove tournaments

The Illawarra’s junior golfers have taken to the fairways over the weekend to contest the The Links Shell Cove Junior Open and Kiama Junior Open.

The weekend kicked off at Shell Cove, with a number of hotly contested events.

The boys open event went down to the wire, with Cooper Maddison ultimately claiming the title in a playoff over Eddie Ward. Jye Halls finished two shots back in third place. Corey Nolan claimed the nett trophy.

The girls open event was won by Cassidy Graham, with Selena Bosevski claiming the nett crown.

Selena then backed up the following day to claim the girls open title at the Kiama Junior Open, with Eddie Ward rebounding from Saturday’s disappointment to claim the boys open title.

In the stableford event at Kiama, Adam Ding finshed first, ahead of Jarrod Fletcher and Mitchell Jones.

Up next for the budding golfers is the Wollongong Junior Masters on December three.
