Crane passed away in November 2016, shortly after clinching the State Triples with Jeremy Henry and Jamie Mitchell. The trio won three straight Zone 16 Triples titles, plus state runners-up in 2014 and 2015.
Crane will be formally remembered through the Warrigal-sponsored $10,000 Over 50s Pairs on Sunday (NOV 19) and next Monday. (NOV 20)
The format is six games of 14 ends, with 38 teams entered and the winners to share $4000.
An exceptional bowler, Crane played 106 Tests for NSW and won the State Triples in 2010 and 2016, plus was runner-up in State Triples in 2001, 2014 and 2015 and was State Pairs runner-up in 2004.
He won the Illawarra Singles in 1994 as well as six Zone 16 Pairs titles (1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2014) and five Triples titles, in 2001, 2010, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
